To ensure a better country through better health.
Health is the most essential asset of our lives. In a country of 1.3 billion, more than 20% of the population does not have access to proper healthcare facilities.
At IIF our aim is to touch every life in need. We identify and conduct in-depth research in that specific location to understand their need.
Our healthcare initiatives are an attempt to make healthcare accessible to the most indigent community. We believe that no one should suffer from malnutrition or poor health irrespective of their socio-economic background.
To provide support to the community during their vulnerable times.
IIF has been providing relief material to villages affected due to floods and other natural disasters since 2008. IIF has conducted one of its quickest outreach programs in providing disaster relief alms to the affected areas, during Amphan Cyclone in 2020.
Since the beginning of 2020, in the wake of COVID- 19 outspread, IIF has been providing hygiene and dry ration kits to affected communities and enabling their return to work upon normalcy. Our teams are ensuring to mitigate the need for the affected families to migrate back to their hometown by creating livelihood opportunities for them.
To empower youth by bringing out their entrepreneurship skills
Research has shown that among the estimated number who live in absolute poverty, 70% of them are women. To ensure women empowerment, it is essential to equip them to meet their basic needs. By nurturing their skills we equip them to earn their own living and makes them independent.
Generating livelihood for women is one of the major thrust areas of IIF. These skill development and capacity building programs are modeled for women of all age groups. IIF also liaisons with potential employers and support them to acquire better jobs.
To build our nation through education of girl child.
Education is a fundamental right of every child. A child’s exposure to proper education builds the foundation for their future endeavour. But given the hurdles of the people from the deprived strata of the society, there is a call for help.
IIF is indulged into activities which nurtures the brain of a child & priorities active learning methods. IIF takes measure to reduce the inconveniences that leads to dropping out of school at primary or secondary level.
IIF has a major focus on promoting girl child education. We stand by our advocacy and create awareness on girl education, Government Schemes for Girls, Girl Child Rights, and Constitutional Acts. “Enlight a Girl Child”, our flagship program, implemented in areas which lacks proper lighting facilities. Under this program a LED Lantern is provided to girls to encourage them to study.
To ensure cleanliness as a mandatory habit among the community.
IIF reaches out to interior parts of villages and create awareness on the importance of using proper sanitation & drinking clean water. IIF has been rigorously organizing workshops and awareness camps on sanitation and related issues.
Our focus is to reduce open defecation, which we intend to achieve through construction of toilet facilities at the house premise and motivating people to use them. We also create awareness within the community the need of drinking clean water and the health issues related to it.
IIF believes that TheVolunteering.com would act as a bridge between employees and communities.
